The City Administrator’s Office is dedicated to improving how San Francisco government serves the public. By leading efforts to strengthen service delivery across departments, we’re working together to make government more effective, responsive, and accountable. In this month’s newsletter, we are excited to share highlights of our latest work, along with upcoming events and workshops happening this month.

Vote now at City Hall through June 2!

City Hall is now open for voting in the June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election. Registered voters can now vote or drop off their ballots at the City Hall Voting Center prior to Election Day. The Voting Center is located on the ground floor of City Hall, Room 48. 

City Hall hours are extended to accommodate voting. 

Weekdays: from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed on May 25 holiday) 

The weekend before Election Day: from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Election Day: from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Explore Upcoming City Contracting Opportunities

San Francisco City Hall

The City Administrator’s Office is working to expand access to contracting opportunities by making it easier for businesses to work with the City. 

Looking to do business with the City? Explore the Spring 2026 Office of Contract Administration Contracting Forecast and the Development Projects Forecast for an early look at upcoming opportunities to contract with the City and on major development projects. 

The forecasts provide key details including projected scope, estimated contract value, and anticipated timelines so firms can plan ahead and better prepare to compete for City contracts.

Moscone Center drives record tourism comeback in 2026

New data from the SF Travel Association shows that events and conventions at the Moscone Center are driving major growth in the city’s tourism economy. This year, events at Moscone are expected to increase hotel room occupancy by 69% as compared to 2024.  

San Francisco is expected to welcome 24.2 million visitors in 2026, with visitor spending reaching $9.9 billion, exceeding the city’s pre-pandemic record of $9.6 billion.

Applications for Grants for the Arts now open!

Grants for the Arts (GFTA) just opened applications for another round of general operating support grants for San Francisco’s nonprofit art and culture organizations. In response to community needs, GFTA also unveiled two new funding programs to support small arts organizations impacted by federal funding cuts and groups undertaking capital improvement projects.  

Funded through the city’s hotel tax, Grants for the Arts supports more than 250 organizations every year that energize neighborhoods, bring communities together, attract visitors, and help drive San Francisco’s economic recovery. 

Applications are open now and are due Tuesday, June 30 at 2 PM PST.

Join the Small Business summit on May 29!

Attendees will gain fresh insights, new connections, and ideas to move their work forward. Hosted by the Office of Economic and Workforce Development, the summit highlights San Francisco’s vibrant local business community.

Join One City Day: a day of service on July 11!

Mayor Daniel Lurie and First Lady Becca Prowda are hosting a citywide day of service on Saturday, July 11. Volunteers of all ages are invited to participate in service projects across San Francisco’s 11 districts, from picking up trash and planting trees, to packaging food for our neighbors. Whether you are a first-time volunteer or a long-time community champion, there’s a place for you to make a difference.

Celebrate Pride with special weddings at City Hall

City Hall and the Office of the County Clerk are hosting a special wedding event to celebrate Pride Weekend. Over 200 wedding appointments are now open on Friday, June 26. Couples from all over the world will gather to exchange vows amid love, cheers, and the stunning backdrop of City Hall.

Join the San Francisco Immigrant Rights Commission and the San Francisco Office of Civic Engagement & Immigrant Affairs (OCEIA) in a celebration honoring local immigrant rights leaders, supporters and champions.
