BOCC Medi-Cal Certification
Providers of Mental Health Services seeking to bill Medi-Cal for services must be certified by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS)
How Does BOCC Assist With The Medi-Cal Certification Process?
- BOCC assists providers with certification site preparation.
- BOCC Conducts site visits to ensure compliance with State Provider Site Certification Protocol.
- If compliant with State Protocol, Medi-Cal Certification and Transmittal forms are completed and transmitted to the Department of Mental Health. If not compliant, Agency Plan of Correction required within 30 days.
- BOCC receives notice of approval from State and sends letter to provider communicating effective date of site certification approval.
