As per the 2025-2026 Youth Commission Bylaws (PDF), the Civic Engagement and Education Committee is a standing issue-based committee of five to seven Youth Commissioners.

The Committee is responsible for:

(a) Public Schools - Curriculum, Education, and Mental Health Services;
(b) Civic Representation - Voter Preregistration and Registration, Vote16;
(c) Safety - School Safety and Addressing Sexual Violence Among Youth
