Public Comment:
(-) Raymond Raymond, neighbor to the venue in the Mission Plaza Apartments, expressed concern about a proposed project in Secret Alley. He stated that although he received a mailer, this meeting was the first time he heard specific details. He attempted to contact the listed representative twice with no response and feels there has been a lack of transparency and engagement. His primary concern is the potential noise impact on residents, many of whom are seniors, especially regarding sound levels and equipment. He opposes the permit unless these concerns are addressed and criticized the perceived indifference from project staff as a form of disregard for community well-being.
(+) Stefano Cassolato shared that arriving early allowed them to speak with both the applicant and Raymond Raymond, the concerned resident. They aimed to reassure Raymond by explaining that if the permit is approved, any noise complaints can be addressed in real time through the Entertainment Commission’s 311 enforcement system. If violations occur repeatedly, the permit could be suspended. The speaker acknowledged Raymond’s frustration over unanswered calls but expressed confidence that both parties are reasonable and capable of resolving issues amicably.
