Unit Hold Program: Launching November 2025

Earn one month’s rent to hold a vacant unit while we match a household through the Large Vehicle Rapid ReHousing (LV RRH).

Partner with San Francisco to house neighbors living in large vehicles. Get guaranteed payments, dedicated ongoing support services, and (new) a Unit Hold option while we match a household to your vacant unit.

The large vehicle RRH programs serve households currently living in large vehicles. We provide move in assistance, monthly rental subsidy, and ongoing stabilization services through our nonprofit Program Administrators.

Unit Holds are an option that pays you one month’s rent to hold a vacant move in ready unit while we match to an eligible household.

When to use Unit Hold:

  • Your unit is move in ready and can pass a habitability inspection.
  • You want to keep cash flow while we complete match + leasing steps.
  • You’re open to renting to an LV RRH participant with a subsidy.

How it works:

  1. Submit a request through the Unit Hold Prequalification Form providing details about your vacant unit (address, rent, bedroom size, accessibility, pet policy, readiness date).
  2. Prequalification & Inspection to ensure the unit meets habitability standards.
  3. Sign Unit Hold Agreement for your unit to remain available for one month, provide W9 and preferred payment method.
  4. Match & Lease partner with program administrators to identify a tenant for your unit.
  5. Payment once leased or the unit hold (1 month) expires.

Once your unit is available within our network our nonprofit partners will support you with viewing with scheduling unit viewings and leasing the unit. Our partners have many clients looking for units at any given time so this process can move quickly. Once the lease is signed and documents are gathered, our partner will pay the monthly rental subsidy to you.
