Compliance at ZSFG

Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG) is committed to maintaining a Compliance Program consistent with DPH’s compliance policies and procedures.

ZSFG follows the DPH Compliance Program, and the ZSFG Compliance Program has integrated elements of the DPH program into the Hospital’s operations in order to establish a compliance program that is effective and proactive in detecting and preventing fraud, abuse and waste at ZSFG.

Activities and Services Provided by the ZSFG Compliance Program

ZSFG focuses its compliance activities on: 

  • Educating ZSFG workforce on preventing and detecting fraud, waste, and abuse; and on their ethical responsibilities under the SF DPH Code of Conduct

  • Providing guidance on regulations related to payment for services. 

  • Conducting risk assessments and engaging in annual monitoring plans. 

  • Providing annual training to all employees, medical staff, trainees, registry staff, contractors, and volunteers.
