11/17/2025 UPDATE: Subject Identified, OCME Appreciates Help from Public. The OCME extends its deepest gratitude to the public, healthcare providers, and the media for their invaluable support in identifying the decedent. This outcome was made possible through their active involvement and collaboration.
SAN FRANCISCO--The decedent is a white male, approximately 30 years old, with red hair, blue eyes, and distinctive facial freckles. He is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. He was found in front of 131 10th Street, between Howard Street and Mission Street. Emergency services responded and pronounced him deceased at the scene. The cause and manner of the death are pending.
The OCME uses extensive investigatory methods to identify decedents, such as valid government issued identification cards on their person, fingerprint check, witness interviews, or DNA testing that lead to a valid identification. In an overwhelming majority of cases, the OCME makes a positive identification of the subject within 24 hours.
In this rare case, the OCME’s investigatory methods have not resulted in identification. The San Francisco Police Department sketch artist rendered a drawing of the decedent.
