SAN FRANCISCO — The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) is renewing its request for the public’s assistance to identify a decedent who was pronounced dead on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
The decedent is a white female, approximately 50 years old, with red hair and green eyes. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 107 pounds. She has multiple tattoos, including a distinctive text tattoo on her right arm that reads, in three lines:
- “Self Care”
- “you always have your health”
- “Pray Meditate Laugh”
On Sunday, May 18, 2025, the individual was found unresponsive in the entryway at 1301 Franklin Street. Emergency services were called, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The OCME uses extensive investigatory methods to identify decedents, such as valid government-issued identification, fingerprint comparison, witness interviews, and DNA testing. In most cases, the OCME makes a positive identification within 24 hours.
In this rare case, these investigative methods have not yet resulted in a positive identification. As we close out the year, the OCME is again seeking the public’s assistance in identifying her so that her next of kin can be notified.
Anyone with information about the identity of the decedent is urged to contact the OCME Investigative Division at (415) 641-2220 or email OCME.INV@SFGOV.ORG or OCME@SFGOV.ORG.
Please reference OCME Case Number: 2025-0699.
