SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, May 1, 2026 – In-person voting for the June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election will begin next week.

The Department of Elections will open its City Hall Voting Center on Monday, May 4, offering San Francisco voters an accessible and convenient option to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day.

From May 4 through June 1, the Voting Center will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (except for the May 25 holiday), and on the two weekends before Election Day—May 23–24 and May 30–31—from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Election Day, Tuesday, June 2, the Voting Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., matching the hours of the City’s 501 neighborhood polling places.

“Our goal is to make voting accessible, convenient, and inclusive for every San Franciscan,” said Director John Arntz. “Whether voting by mail, at a neighborhood polling place, or at City Hall, voters can choose the option that works best for them and feel confident in the process.”

Located at City Hall, the Voting Center—like all polling places in San Francisco—is designed to serve voters with a wide range of needs. Eligible residents may register or update their registration, request a replacement ballot, or vote in person. Voters can also use accessible voting equipment to mark their ballot using touchscreen or audio options.

Curbside voting is available for voters who need it by calling (415) 558-6100 or asking a companion to request assistance inside the Voting Center. In addition, language support is available in hundreds of languages to help voters access election information in the format and language they prefer.
