Application submittals are listed for each code that applies to your project.
Maher Ordinance
Current construction drawings and details, including areas of earthwork (e.g. excavation, grading, trenching). You may submit the same plans included in a Project Application (PRJ)
Existing environmental reports
- Prior or related SMED case submittals
- Existing geotechnical reports
- Existing site history information, including Phase I ESA reports, Sanborn Maps, or title history, etc.
- Existing site condition information, including Subsurface Investigation Reports, Phase II ESA reports, etc.
- Existing correspondence with environmental regulatory programs (e.g. Local Oversight Program, Department of Toxic Substances Control, San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board, or United States Environmental Protection Agency)
- Existing environmental covenant and deed restrictions
Waiver documentation
If you believe your project qualifies for a waiver, submit documentation with your application to support these findings:
- Your project site has been continuously used for residence since 1921.
- There is no evidence suggesting possible contamination.
Documentation can include a combination of Residential Building Records (3-R), Sanborn Maps, evaluations of environmental conditions, or other records. Some of this information can be found by searching for your property on the San Francisco Property Information Map. Waiver documentation will be reviewed after payment and application are processed.
This requirement comes from Health Code Article 22A.4.
