Community Assessment & Services Center (CASC) Class Schedule
The Community Assessment & Services Center (CASC) offers a variety of classes for justice involved adults. Some classes are in person at 564 6th street and some are online via Zoom.
Adult Probation DepartmentMonday
Substance Treatment Outpatient Program
STOP (Substance Treatment Outpatient Program) is an SUD treatment program that is specialized in co-occurring mental health issues. Targeted, structured daily groups occur daily. Referral required.
- 10-11:30am at the CASC.
Men's Process Group
Provides men space to talk honestly about life experiences, identity, emotions, relationships, behavior patterns, and growth. The goal is not perfection – the goal is awareness, accountability, emotional maturity, and developing tools for healthier choices.
- 11:30am-12:30pm at the CASC.
Rebuild & Reclaim
Rebuild self-esteem and self-worthy by separating identity from past behavior, increasing personal accountability without shame, strengthening confidence in decision-making, developing healthy self-talk, building pro-social identity and future goals, and reducing recidivism by strengthening internal motivation.
- 1-2pm at the CASC.
Healthy Relationships
Clients focus on the importance of effective communication, boundaries, the characteristics of unhealthy relationships, and ways to develop healthy ones. Referral required.
- Hosted online via Zoom from 1-2pm.
Job Club
For justice involved individuals interested in finding work but in need of more support. Job Club is a skill building and resource sharing group that helps people find and keep the job they want.
- Held at the CASC from 2-3pm.
Alcoholics Anonymous
For all who have a desire to recover from alcoholism. Attendance will only be taken for those who request it.
- Hosted online via Zoom from 3-4pm.
Tuesday

Thinking for a Change
Cognitive-behavioral change model to increase awareness that thinking controls behavior. Learning skills to replace past risk thinking with new, pro-social thinking to eliminate or minimize negative consequences.
- Held at the CASC from 1-2pm.
Anger Management
Cognitive behavioral therapy to improve emotion regulation, communication, and relaxation, and develop coping tools for anger.
- Hosted online via Zoom from 1-2pm.
Planning Your Future
Helps clients coming home build motivation that lasts, hope that’s realistic, and a step-by-step plan for stability (housing, work, sobriety, mental health, relationships, and probation success).
- 2-3pm at the CASC.
Solutions for Women
Solutions for Women is a women's empowerment group. We have been around since 2013 and welcome all to attend. Program contact is Deborah Turner at (415) 871-4647.

Wednesday

Conexión Latina En español (remisión)
Support and emotional skill-building group for individuals who are monolingual or wish to engage in a Spanish process group. Offering resources in the Latino community.
- Hosted online via Zoom from 11am-12pm.
Music Group
In this therapeutic skill-building group, clients learn to manage stress, communicate creatively, and enhance their sense of self-competence through audial sensory exploration and experimentation. Create songs, music videos, and podcasts through online music recording studios/audio workstations in collaborative environment.
- Held at the CASC from 11:30am-1pm.
Anger Management
Cognitive behavioral therapy to improve emotion regulation, communication, and relaxation, and develop coping tools for anger.
- Held at the CASC from 1-2pm.
Thursday

Semillas a Flores En español (remisión)
Semillas a Flores, or "Seeds to Flowers," is an advanced Spanish outpatient, in-person group that follows a culturally relevant curriculum, incorporating DBT and Anger Management curriculums, focused on personal and emotional development.
- 11am-12pm at the CASC.
Impact of Violence
This group creates a safe space to explore how violence impacts the individual, family, and community – and how healing, accountability, and new behavior patterns help rebuild lives. This group supports growth, emotional safety, honest reflection, and skill-building.
- 12-1pm at the CASC.
Managing Your Emotions
A skill-building group for those who struggle with mood regulation. Clients learn how to effectively express and manage emotions, build and maintain healthy relationships, and reduce problematic behaviors.
- 1-2pm at the CASC.
Sister's Circle
The program is designed to educate and empower women to move to the next level of Recovery. To overcome the barriers of Homelessness, Domestic Violence, Substance Abuse and chronic Illnesses.

Art Group
Join the art group each week for a fun mix of art-themed outings, projects, exploration of different mediums and practices, and building community around creativity. All skills welcome!

Changing Your Mind
Cognitive behavioral therapy group for clients with mental health disorders. Clients learn how to work with their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in ways that can help them change their lives.
