About the Supportive Living Preservation Program (SLPP)

The Supportive Living Preservation Program (SLPP) increases housing and transitional living options for those receiving supportive services.

Introduction

The Supportive Living Preservation Program (SLPP) helps sponsors get permanent loans to acquire and preserve buildings for supportive living. Eligible City Departments (“Partner Department”) who serve households or individuals at supportive living sites through contracting with service providers (“Sponsors”) including the Department of Public Health, the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, or the Department of Disability and Aging. Sponsor must have a contract with a Partner Department to cover service and operating costs for the building. Buildings acquired or preserved under SLPP are deed-restricted for at least 99 years.

Supportive Living Preservation Program Guidelines

On July 18, 2025, Citywide Affordable Housing Loan Committee approved the Supportive Living Preservation Program (SLPP) Guidelines.
