Seat numbers listed as “VACANT” are open for immediate appointment. However, you are able to submit applications for all seats and your application will be maintained for one year, in the event that an unexpected vacancy or opening occurs.

Description:
The State Legislation Committee was created to consider any proposed legislation affecting the interests or welfare of the City and County of San Francisco pending, or being considered for presentation, before the State Legislature. The Committee shall study all proposals and formulate recommendations for endorsement, opposition or neutrality.
The Committee shall consist of seven (7) members:
- Mayor (1), who shall act as Chair;
- City Attorney (1);
- Two (2) members of the Board of Supervisors, appointed by the President of the Board;
- City Controller (1);
- City Assessor (1); and
- City Treasurer (1).
Each member may designate an authorized representative to attend the meeting in his/her absence. Members serve ex-officio with no specified terms so that service is limited by the terms of their respective elected offices. A member’s designated representative may be changed at any time.
Report:
A report of the proceedings of each regular or special meeting of the Committee, and the recommendations made, shall be submitted to the Board of Supervisors by the next regular business day following such meeting.
