To be a vendor, you need to first apply with the market where you want to sell your food.
Follow their steps to get the okay to be a food or beverage vendor at that location.
Apply for your health permit
The health permit you need to sell food depends on how your food is prepared, packaged, or sold.
- Selling pre-packaged food: apply for an Annual Temporary Food Facility permit as a low hazard booth.
- Preparing food onsite at a booth: apply for an Annual Temporary Food Facility permit as a high hazard booth.
- Making and selling food from a food truck: apply as a Mobile Food Facility permit.
- Making and selling food from home: if you are a Cottage Food Operator making foods at home: you also need to apply for an Annual Temporary Food Facility permit to sell your food at market.
- Selling produce you grow: apply as Certified Producer to sell your produce at market.
