Each section provides instructions for contractors and the general public on how to schedule and pay for an inspection.

PermitSF

The following are instructions for permits obtained through the PermitSF portal. PermitSF applications start with letters, such as BLDG, ELEC, or PLMB.

Once your permit is issued in PermitSF, you will be able to request inspections online from your PermitSF dashboard.

If your permit number starts with numbers, you can schedule an inspection using the contact information below.

Building Permit Inspections: non-PermitSF

The following are instructions for permits obtained Over-the-Counter at the Permit Center, In-House, or through the DBI Registered Contractor portal.
