What to do
1. Prepare your plans
Follow these rules to create PDFs of your plans or addenda.
PDFs must be editable. Do not submit locked, password-protected, encrypted, or “restricted” documents.
2. Add our Back Check menu to your PDF
You must add our Back Check page PDF to submit plans in Bluebeam, our electronic plan review software.
Follow these instructions to download it and add it to your plans.
3. Resubmit your plans
You will need to provide:
- Your contact information
- The 9-digit Bluebeam project ID
- The project address
- The building permit application number
- Your plans
Plan reviews that require three rounds of comments, revisions and resubmissions are escalated to a DBI supervisor to work with staff and the applicant to help address the comments.
