Some businesses are eligible for a streamlined, 30-day review of their business permits.
Voters approved Prop H in 2020, creating this streamlined review and approval process for small business permits. The Small Business Recovery Act was passed by the Board of Supervisors that same year and expanded the impact of Prop H. Together, they eliminate months of permitting requirements and processes for businesses opening in San Francisco.
Check what kinds of projects are eligible
These projects are not eligible for 30-day review:
- Projects that expand the footprint of the building
- Projects that expand the interior square footage of the business
- New buildings
- Projects that include excavation
