The Citywide Nonprofit Monitoring and Capacity Building Program includes a Fiscal Monitoring Program to set consistent fiscal monitoring requirements for nonprofits that receive funding from City departments. The Program streamlines fiscal monitoring activities to support a key outcome: Nonprofit contractors have strong, sustainable fiscal operations so that public funds are spent in alignment with the City’s financial and administrative standards
The Program also provides capacity building resources, which includes training and individual coaching for nonprofits.

Standard Monitoring Form
This is the standard monitoring form that funding departments use to assess a nonprofit's fiscal health during the annual coordinated Citywide monitoring process. Updated for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.

A reference guide and checklist to help nonprofits compile and organize the required standard monitoring documents.
Corrective Action Policy
This policy helps to identify, prioritize, and support nonprofit contractors who do not meet the City's fiscal and contract performance compliance standards. Updated November 12, 2025.
