Brian Strong
Chief Resilience Officer

Brian Strong is San Francisco’s Chief Resilience Officer and Director of the Office of Resilience and Capital Planning, leading the City’s strategy to create a safe, sustainable, and more resilient future. He oversees the $52 billion Capital Plan and drives key initiatives - including the General Obligation Bond program, Hazards and Climate Resilience Plan, ClimateSF, the Earthquake Safety Implementation Program, and the Lifelines Council - to strengthen infrastructure and prepare for climate and seismic risks. Brian earned a master’s degree in intergovernmental management from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College.
