Mayor Lurie Urges Sacramento to Fulfill Commitment to Bay Area Transit Agencies

SAN FRANCISCO – Mayor Daniel Lurie today released the following statement urging Sacramento to fulfill its commitment to Bay Area transit agencies:

“The San Francisco Bay Area is the engine that makes California the world’s 4th largest economy. Just like San Francisco, better management and more accountability has led to a resurgent Muni, with ridership and customer satisfaction increasing. We are taking the steps to get our house in order and need Sacramento to follow through on this commitment. Every working family, senior, student and business leader knows that safe, affordable and reliable public transit is key to powering our comeback. I’m talking to the governor and I know he understands the importance of transit to our entire economy.”
