Mayor Lurie Announces Key Appointments to City Commissions, Committees, and Boards

SAN FRANCISCO – Mayor Daniel Lurie today announced the appointment and reappointment of eight key community leaders and policy experts to city commissions, committees, and boards. The mayor appointed Pablo Bravo to the Human Services Commission, Krystle Danridge and Connor Skelly to the Early Childhood Community Oversight and Advisory Committee, Venkatesh (Venk) Reddy to the Citizens’ General Obligation Bond Oversight Committee, and KC Shah to the Rent Board. He also nominated Alison Warner to the Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure Oversight Committee and reappointed Edward A. Chow, M.D. to the Health Commission and Tim Tung to the Citizens’ General Obligation Bond Oversight Committee.
“These appointees bring decades of experience in public service and community leadership,” said Mayor Lurie. “Their expertise will help us better support families, keep San Francisco healthy, and deliver more effective city services. I look forward to working with them to strengthen our communities and continue driving San Francisco’s recovery.”
Pablo Bravo has spent decades working to improve the lives of people in San Francisco, especially immigrants, children, and seniors. He has held senior roles at the San Francisco Department of Health, Baker Places, and Catholic Health Care West, and has also helped invest in and support local organizations like community centers in the Tenderloin. Bravo has served on the Primary Care Development Corporation and the San Francisco Housing Accelerator Fund. He has earned degrees in economics, public administration, and humanities from the University of San Francisco. Bravo is a longtime resident of the Sunset District.
Edward A. Chow, M.D. is a native San Franciscan and currently serves as president of the Health Commission. He has served under five mayors on the Health Commission and has been working to address health needs, access, and disparities for more than four decades. Dr. Chow is a founder and leader of numerous organizations, including the National Council of Asian and Pacific Islander Physicians. He helped create the Chinese Community Health Plan in partnership with Chinese Hospital. Dr. Chow has played a national leadership role advancing Asian American health and is a frequent speaker on health access and cultural competency.
Krystle Danridge is an early childhood education leader with more than 10 years of experience across San Francisco’s child care, family support, and early learning systems. Danridge is the owner and director of Each One Teach One Family Childcare, where she develops curriculum, conducts developmental assessments, oversees enrollment and billing, and creates an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment for young children and their families. She has experience training and coaching teachers, leading parent engagement, and supporting families navigating complex systems. Danridge holds advanced degrees from San Francisco State University.
Venk Reddy is a board director and financial services leader with more than 30 years of experience spanning corporate debt, equities, and derivatives. He currently serves as an independent director and audit committee chair for XD Fund Trust and has spent more than a decade in governance roles with independent schools, chairing audit and risk committees, and contributing to finance, investment, and governance efforts. Prior to his current board service, Reddy was the founder and CEO of Zeo Capital Advisors. A graduate of Harvard University, he resides in San Francisco with his wife and two daughters, where his family is also active as small business owners.
KC Shah is a California attorney with a strong background in appellate and trial court research, analysis, and writing, currently serving as a chambers law clerk at the Supreme Court of California. Prior to this role, Shah served as a legal research attorney in San Francisco Superior Court’s Law and Motion Department. His experience also includes fellowships and clerkships focused on housing law, government law, and public interest litigation. Beyond his legal practice, Shah has a record of civic engagement, including more than a decade of volunteer service as a judge and coach for a national civics program and ongoing leadership within the Boy Scouts of America. Shah earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School where he held multiple elected leadership roles.
Connor Skelly serves as chief operating officer of Perez Construction, helping to scale a family-owned business and positioning it to earn recognition as one of the Bay Area’s fastest-growing private companies. Skelly previously worked as a consultant scaling impact across education, housing, and workforce development. His career began in public education as a math teacher and dean in the San Francisco Unified School District, and he has continued his commitment to service through board leadership roles at several San Francisco nonprofits. A father of four, Skelly brings a deep commitment to strengthening how government serves families and communities across the city.
Tim Tung is a finance professional with nearly two decades of expertise in public finance, investment analysis, and credit ratings. He currently serves as director and lead analyst at S&P Global Ratings, where he has published more than 625 rating reports, covering tax-secured financings, water and wastewater systems, municipal pools, and renewable energy projects. Prior to his work at S&P, Tung managed a $5 billion debt portfolio for the city of San Jose. A CFA charter holder, Regents’ scholar, and board member of both the California Society of Municipal Analysts and Asian Americans in Public Finance, Tung holds a degree in political science and is pursuing a Master of Information and Data Science and a Master of Public Administration.
Alison Warner is a real estate development executive and licensed professional engineer with more than 15 years of experience leading retail and mixed-use development projects across the West Coast. She currently serves as senior vice president at Balboa Retail Partners and previously led development and construction efforts for Regency Centers in Northern California. Earlier in her career, Warner advised public and private owners at KPMG on major capital programs. She holds a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California, a degree in civil engineering from UCLA, is a California-licensed PE and LEED Accredited Professional, and will bring a blend of technical expertise, public-sector fluency, and private-sector execution.
