Description: This presentation provides an overview of the Department of Children, Youth and their Families (DCYF) department-wide inclusion efforts, including the Inclusion Jumpstart Series for grantees, universal inclusion requirements, and coordination of the Citywide Inclusion Collaborative. It will also highlight outreach and promotion for the Citywide Community Needs Assessment and Family Summit, including support for accommodation requests.

Description: This presentation honors Deaf Awareness Month by highlighting Deaf leadership in San Francisco and California, including CAD’s 120th anniversary, and the global Deaf community as the World Federation of the Deaf celebrates its 75th anniversary. It also introduces the 2026 International Week of Deaf People, “Declaring Deaf People’s Human Rights,” with daily focuses on sign language recognition, inclusive education, accessibility, meaningful participation, Deaf culture, and human rights.
