Overview
The City and County of San Francisco is excited to share a new opportunity for local property owners and landlords to partner with us through Mayor Daniel Lurie’s Breaking the Cycle strategy to address vehicular homelessness.
The San Francisco Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) is launching a Unit Hold program that guarantees participating property owners one month’s rent to hold a vacant move-in ready unit. HSH will then match an eligible household previously living in a large vehicle to move into the unit.
This is an opportunity to:
- Earn one month’s rent while your unit is held
- Reduce vacancy risk
- Make a lasting impact in your community

Thank you for being part of the citywide effort to expand housing opportunities and help keep San Francisco a place for everyone!
