Findings to allow teleconferenced meetings under California Government Code Section 54953(e)

The Commission will discuss and possibly adopt a resolution setting forth findings required under Assembly Bill 361 that would allow the commission and its subcommittees to hold meetings remotely according to the modified Brown Act teleconferencing requirements set forth in AB 361.

Action: To adopt a resolution setting forth findings required under Assembly Bill 361.

New Business

A. Competitive Solicitation Requirement Waiver Requests for (1) The African American Art and Culture Complex and (2) Freedom Forward

The Commission will discuss and possibly adopt a resolution approving waivers of the competitive solicitation requirement for (1) a Health and Safety grant to The African American Art and Culture Complex and (2) an anti-human trafficking grant to Freedom Forward under Chapter 21G of the Administrative Code.

B. Presentation by Freedom Forward

Freedom Forward will present on their work to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of youth in San Francisco, including their programs and services, initiatives, key achievements and research efforts. In addition, they will speak on how the Department and Commission can specifically support their work and potential opportunities for collaboration.
