Overview
Community Development leads MOHCD’s efforts to strengthen communities, support neighborhood stability, and connect residents to essential services. Through strategic investments and cross-departmental partnerships, the Division helps prevent displacement and advance equitable outcomes across San Francisco.
Our core responsibilities are to:
- Administer local, state, and federal funding
- Manage grants and strengthen nonprofit partners
- Lead and coordinate community development initiatives
- Help residents remain housed and rooted in their communities
- Build and sustain neighborhood-based community infrastructure
