Call to order/roll call

The meeting will be called to order, followed by a roll call to establish quorum.

Consent agenda

The Council will review and possibly vote to approve minutes from the Council meeting on November 20, 2024.

Creation of bylaws

A. The Council will be provided with an overview of the need for formal bylaws, their purpose, and the anticipated benefits for Council operations.

B. The Council will consider and possibly vote on a motion to authorize the Council Tri-Chairs and the Mayor’s Office for Victims' Rights to collaborate on drafting proposed bylaws.

Office of Civic Engagement and Immigration Affairs update

An update and guidance will be provided on best practices for serving victims and survivors. Members will have the opportunity to raise any concerns or questions.

Welcome and introduction of new staff

New staff members will be introduced, and a brief overview of their roles will be provided.

Budget updates

A. An update will be provided on the Family Violence Council’s budget advocacy to date for the upcoming fiscal year. Members will have the opportunity to raise any emerging urgent needs for discussion.

B. An update will be provided on expected state and federal budget changes that may impact local funding. Members will have the opportunity to raise urgent emerging needs or concerns for discussion relevant to these updates.

TRI-CHAIR UPDATES DISCUSSION Each Tri-Chair will provide updates on key issues in their respective areas of focus.

Language access

Per the Language Access Ordinance (Chapter 91 of the San Francisco Administrative Code), Chinese, Spanish and or Filipino (Tagalog) interpreters will be available upon requests. Meeting Minutes may be translated, if requested, after they have been adopted by the Family Violence Council/Mayor’s Task Force on Anti-Human Trafficking. Assistance in additional languages may be honored whenever possible. To request assistance with these services please contact Barbara Lopez barbara.lopez@sfgov.org at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting. Late requests will be honored if possible.

Disability access

Family Violence Council meetings are currently online; however, starting in 2025, the FVC will return to a City building, which will be accessible to persons using wheelchairs and other assistive mobility devices.

Mayor’s Task Force on Anti-Human Trafficking meetings are held in Room 305 at City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place in San Francisco. City Hall is accessible to persons using wheelchairs and other assistive mobility devices. Ramps are available at the Grove, Van Ness and McAllister entrances.

Assistive listening devices, American Sign Language interpreters, readers, large print agendas or other accommodations are available upon request. Please make your requests for accommodations to Barbara Lopez barbara.lopez.ovwr@sfgov.org. Requesting accommodations at least 72 hours prior to the meeting will help ensure availability.
