What to do

Residency qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy (or one in the process of pursuing accreditation) 
  • Eligible for pharmacist licensure in California
  • Registered with the ASHP Resident Matching Program
  • PGY2 program only: Participating in or have completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 in pharmacy practice or candidate status 


  • Stipend:
    • PGY1: $67,000
    • PGY2: $69,550
  • Medical: medical, dental, vision
  • Vacation: 10 working days
  • Professional leave: 10 working days
  • Holidays: 11 official holidays and 4 floating holidays
  • Support for attending professional meetings
    • PGY1: Financial support for CSHP and ASHP
    • PGY2: Financial support for AAPP and ASHP

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Official school of pharmacy transcript
  • PhORCAS reference form requirements:
    • 3 health care professionals two of which are clinical preceptors
    • Program specific comments are encouraged
  • ASHP residency match number
