San Francisco celebrates Welcoming Week!

Welcoming Week is an annual campaign that celebrates the work of communities across the globe to become welcoming places for all. This year, Welcoming Week takes place from September 10-19. 2026.

Welcoming Week provides individuals and organizations the opportunity to showcase their values through events and initiatives that foster connections, collaboration, and belonging for all.


San Francisco is a 5-Star Certified Welcoming place for immigrant inclusion and belonging. This designation recognizes the city’s work to include immigrants in all areas of civic, social, and economic life, and makes San Francisco one of 45 Certified Welcoming communities nationwide. Learn more.
