September 10: Mission Lotería Storefront Grand Opening
When: Thursday, September 10, 12:00–5:00 pm
Where: 2884 Mission Street, SF, CA 94110
Join Mission Lotería for the Grand Opening of their new home in San Francisco’s Mission District! This new permanent space is dedicated to celebrating local culture, artists, small businesses, and the stories that make the Mission so special.
This event is free and open to the community. RSVP here.
September 12: Welcoming Week Block Party at Live on Larkin
When: Saturday, September 12, 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Where: Little Saigon (Larkin Street between Eddy and O’Farrell Streets)
The San Francisco Welcoming Week Block Party is hosted in partnership with Live on Larkin and the Southeast Asian Community Center (SEACC).
This community event celebrates Vietnamese becoming a certified language under the San Francisco Language Access Ordinance, while also uplifting all of our immigrant communities during Welcoming Week 2026!
September 12: Fiesta de las Américas
When: Saturday, September 12, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
Where: 24th St. between Mission & Potrero
Fiesta de las Américas is an annual community cultural celebration held in San Francisco's Mission District. Organized by the Calle 24 Latino Cultural District, features live music, folkloric dance, local art, food vendors, and street fairs celebrating the diverse cultures of North, Central, and South America, as well as the Caribbean.
September 14: Immigrant Rights Commission Special Hearing
When: Monday, September 14, 5:30 pm
Where: San Francisco City Hall, Room 416
Attend a special hearing on access to healthcare for immigrant communities in San Francisco.
Hosted by the San Francisco Immigrant Rights Commission, this special hearing will provide an update on changes to healthcare access and public charge, what this means for immigrant communities in San Francisco, and what City resources are available for individuals and families.
September 15: Grito de Independencia de México
When: Tuesday, September 15, 4:00-9:00pm
Where: Civic Center Plaza, 335 McAllister Street
Celebrate Mexico’s Independence Day (El Grito) with The Consulate General of Mexico in San Francisco during an evening of performances, food, and community resources.
September 19: Mission Street 'Cafecito' Coffee Tour
When: Saturday, September 19, 10:00 am
Where: Mission District
Join a Mission Lotería for a guided coffee tour and discover new and established Latine-owned coffee shops throughout the Mission.
This is a paid ticketed event, spots are limited.
September 19-20: Chinatown Autumn Moon Festival
When: Saturday, September 19 - Sunday, September 20, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Where: Grant Avenue, between California and Broadway streets
The Chinatown Autumn Moon Festival is a free, annual two-day street fair featuring cultural parades, lion dancing, kids activities, and mooncakes, and more. This event is presented by the Chinatown Merchants Association.
