Seat numbers listed as “VACANT” are open for immediate appointment. However, you are able to submit applications for all seats and your application will be maintained for one year, in the event that an unexpected vacancy or opening occurs.

Application Process
Description:
The Urban Counties Caucus consists of a coalition of high population California counties having an overwhelming majority of caseloads in the health, welfare and justice areas.
The Governing Board shall be composed of one elected representative from each County Board of Supervisors maintaining the membership of its supervisors in the Caucus. Each representative shall be a member of the county board and shall be selected at the beginning of the calendar year by the Board of Supervisors to serve for a term of not less than two-years to coincide with the sessions of the California Legislature.
The Urban Counties Caucus governing board shall meet at least once annually, and at such other times and places as may be directed by the Chairperson. Annual dues are paid on a fiscal year basis.
