Some City office closed due to power outage

City Hall, the Main Library, and other Civic Center City offices are closed on Monday December 22, 2026.

Due to ongoing power outage impacts in the Civic Center area, the following city facilities will be closed for in-person services on Monday December 22, 2026:

Main Library
Civic Center Garage
SFMTA Customer Service (11 Van Ness)
1 South Van Ness
101 Grove
525 Golden Gate
War Memorial’s Veterans Building
Asian Art Museum

PG&E is opening a Community Resource Center at 251 18th Avenue from 5-10pm on 12/21/25 and 8am-10pm on 12/22/25 for residents impacted by continued power outages. Snacks, drinks, WiFi, and device charging are available.

The City also has charging locations available for residents still without power. While the Main Library and Richmond branches remain offline due to the power outage, all other SFPL branches are open during regular hours for device charging. Bring cables and allow extra travel time due to rain.
