COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Cyn Wang (Vice President), Maria Davis, Lt. Leonard Poggio, Anthony Schlander, and Laura Thomas

COMMISSIONERS EXCUSED: Ben Bleiman (President)

    Motion: Commissioner Thomas made a motion to approve the meeting minutes; Commissioner Davis seconded the motion.

    Action: The Commission approved the minutes of the August 18, 2026 Commission meetings.

    Ayes: Vice President Wang, Commissioner Davis, Commissioner Poggio, Commission Schlander, and Commissioner Thomas

  5. Report from Senior Inspector: Senior Inspector Andrew Zverina reports on recent enforcement activities. The Commission may vote to direct staff to take enforcement actions. [Discussion and Possible Action Item]

  6. Updates on Nightlife Business Assistance: Ben Van Houten, Director of Nightlife Initiatives, Nightlife and Entertainment Sector with the Office of Economic and Workforce Development, provides an update on nightlife business assistance. [Discussion and Possible Action Item]

  7. Hearing and Possible Action regarding applications for permits under the jurisdiction of the Entertainment Commission. [Discussion and Possible Action Item]

    Consent Agenda: None

    Regular Agenda:

    a. EC-1954 – Andrew Wasilewski of FOLSOM FOUNDRY MUSIC LLC, dba Folsom Foundry, 1425 Folsom St, Place of Entertainment with outdoor amplified sound change in

    Vice President Wang recused herself for this permit application. Commissioner Thomas took over the chairing of the meeting.

    Motion: Commissioner Davis made a motion to approve the permit with the updated staff recommendations; Commissioner Schlander seconded the motion.

    Action: The Commission approved the permit with the updated staff recommendations.

    Ayes: Commissioner Davis, Commissioner Poggio, Commission Schlander, and Commissioner Thomas

    Nays: None

    Public Comment:
    (=/+) A resident of Juniper St. commented that the residents are concerned because they already face long‑standing issues with nearby clubs on 11th Street and felt vulnerable when they learned that Folsom Foundry would provide ongoing entertainment. They hope the Commission will support efforts to address the 11th Street issues. They also expressed appreciation for Deputy Director Azevedo and Andrew for working with them regarding their concerns.

    Vice President Wang came back to the meeting and resumed chairing the meeting.
