Acceptable Specimen Type(s) for Testing - Nasopharyngeal swab and anterior nares (nasal) swab

Transport / Collection Medium - Specimens can be submitted in Universal Transport media (UTM), Universal Viral Transport Media (UVT), Saline.

Storage and Preservation of Specimen - Specimens can be stored at room temperature (15 to 30°C) for 48 hours if collected in VTM, saline. Alternatively, specimens can be stored refrigerated (2 to 8°C) up to seven days.

Minimum Volume Required - 3 milliliters

Additional Required Information - Two patient identifiers are required on the specimen.
