San Francisco Child Care Planning and Advisory Council (CPAC) Members

CPAC membership is comprised of 25 members from varied backgrounds who have demonstrated expertise and experience in early care and education and out of school time.

The Board of Supervisors and the Board of Education each appoint 12 members, and the President of the Board of Supervisors appoints one additional member for a total of 25 voting members.

Members appointed by the Board of Supervisors must live and/or work in the respective district seat they sit on.

Full Council membership is mandated to be comprised of:

• 20% consumers of child care services
• 20% child care providers
• 20% public agency representatives
• 20% community representatives
• 20% discretionary members.

Terms are for three years and members may be reappointed for one additional consecutive term.
