Storage and Preservation of Specimen - Stool in PARA-PAK C&S: mix well after collection; refrigerate and deliver to the laboratory within 3 days of collection. Sterile urine cup for Salmonella serotype Typhi: refrigerate, transport to the laboratory within 24 hours.
Minimum Volume Required - PARA-PAK C&S: fill to line (do NOT overfill). Urine: at least 2 milliliters.
