The San Francisco Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) is committed to providing transparent and actionable data to better understand the dynamics of homelessness in our city. This page features our Homelessness Trends Dashboard, a tool designed to track the movement of people in and out of homelessness in our system over time.

Housing Inventory Count Reports provide a snapshot of a CoC’s HIC, an inventory of housing conducted annually.

A biennial count of people experiencing unsheltered and sheltered homelessness at a given point in time. At least once every two years, communities that receive federal funding for homelessness services are required to conduct a Point-in-Time (PIT) Count. This count helps us understand how many people are experiencing sheltered and unsheltered homelessness on a given night across the country.
