As the governing and policy-making body of the Department of Public Health, the San Francisco Health Commission is mandated by City & County Charter to manage and control the City and County hospitals, to monitor and regulate emergency medical services, and all matters pertaining to the preservation, promotion and protection of the lives, health and mental health of San Francisco residents. Meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 101 Grove Street, room 300, at 4pm.

Formerly known as the Mental Health Board, the mission for the Behavioral Health Commission is to represent and ensure the inclusion of the diverse voices of consumers, family members, citizens and stakeholders in advising how mental health services are administered and provided. • BHC Committee: 3rd Wednesday at 6pm • BHC Site Visit Committee: 2nd Tuesday at 3pm • BHC Implementation Committee: 2nd Tuesday at 4pm • BHC Executive Committee: 2nd Tuesday at 5pm
