We offer workshops and presentations to help strengthen public safety and awareness in our communities.
Mayor's Office for Victims' RightsWhat to know
- The aim of our workshops is to give people the confidence and knowledge they need to recognize, avoid, and/or reduce risks in dangerous situations.
- As part of our presentations, we also share helpful resources for people who have been victims of crime.
Workshop and presentation topics
- Personal Safety Training: Covering topics like safety at home, on the street, and public transit for adults and elders.
- Scam Prevention: Discussing current scam tactics in the community and how to recognize, avoid, and report scams and fraud.
- Hate Crimes: Defining the difference between hate crimes and hate incidents and what to do if you experience one, including how to document and report.
