David Ranzolin

David is a Senior Data Analyst at the Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD). He studied English literature and religious studies in school, earning his M.T.S from Emory University. After school he realized that writing code was more fun than writing papers. Now an R devotee, he is the creator and maintainer of several open source packages on CRAN and rOpenSci (ViewPipeSteps, sqltargets, hacksaw, rperseus). Some of his other favorite packages are targets, htmlwidgets, broom, infer, and of course, the tidyverse.

At OEWD, David enjoys building data pipelines and pestering DataSF staff with questions about dbt and Snowflake.

Outside of work, David loves basketball, golf, books, video games, and (*sigh*) Manchester United.
