PROFILE
Alex Lemberg
they/theirVice President
Alex Lemberg (they/them) is an attorney in solo practice in the Castro District, who focuses on nothing particular and loves the challenge of learning and taking on new areas of the law. Alex represents a wide variety of people, tenants, small businesses, and families in a broad scope of legal matters. After law school, Alex trained with legendary City Attorney Louise Renne at Renne Public Law Group, and then became the Senior Housing Attorney at Open Door Legal, a nonprofit legal services organization serving the Bayview, Visitacion Valley, Excelsior, and Western Addition neighborhoods, representing hundreds of low-income residential tenants throughout those neighborhoods. Alex lives with their husband, Kevin, and dog, Pumpkin, in the Castro, where Alex also serves as President of the Eureka Valley Neighborhood Association, which has been serving Castro residents since 1881. Alex is a graduate of UC Berkeley and Golden Gate University School of Law, where they served on the Golden Gate University Law Review, and has never lived outside of five Bay Area counties. Although primarily raised in the South Bay and Peninsula, four generations of Alex's family have lived in San Francisco and the City will always be their home, no matter what. Mx. Lemberg was appointed to the Board by President of the Board of Supervisors Shamann Walton on July 12, 2022 for the remainder of an unexpired term. Their term will expire on July 1, 2024.
