Al Perez

Al Perez is the founder of Creative i Studio, specializing in innovative and impactful solutions in brand design, sports marketing, and experience marketing. With over 24 years of experience, he has successfully translated marketing objectives into award-winning creative strategies for Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
A longtime community organizer, Al is deeply committed to both the creative arts and civic leadership, using design, cultural events, and public service to enrich and empower San Francisco’s multicultural communities. As President of the Filipino American Arts Exposition (FAAE), he leads a core team and a dedicated group of volunteers in producing the annual Pistahan Parade and Festival at Yerba Buena Gardens—the largest celebration of Filipino community, culture and cuisine outside the Philippines. He also spearheads the Filipino Heritage Night series in partnership with major sports franchises, including the San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, Golden State Valkyries, San Jose Earthquakes, and San Jose Sharks.
Al also serves as co-chair of the Asian Heritage Street Celebration and sits on the boards of the Cow Palace Grand National Rodeo and the Community Police Advisory Board for the SFPD Southern Station.
Al was appointed to the San Francisco Arts Commission by Mayor Daniel Lurie in September 2025. Al previously served on the San Francisco Entertainment Commission, where he was appointed by Mayor Gavin Newsom in December 2009.
For his laudable leadership initiatives, he was awarded a Presidential Citation by Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (2010), and His Excellency Benigno Aquino III (2012), Presidents of the Philippines.
