- Start with coffee at Scullery. Fuel up for a day of exploring with a coffee, burnt caramel latte, or Vietnamese-style Shakerado from Scullery. The tiny neighborhood coffee shop roasts its coffee in-house and pairs its drinks with a menu of hearty toasts.

2. Sit down for brunch. Caffeine on an empty stomach? Head to Brenda's French Soul Food for Brenda’s Kickass Breakfast Club and a beignet, or stop by Son and Garden for the Sunshine Scramble in its colorful, flower-filled dining room.

3. Shop local. Spend the late morning browsing the neighborhood’s independent shops. Pick up skate gear, streetwear, and locally made art at Low Key Skate Shop, browse clothing and specialty goods at Sheba Clothing Store, and check out San Francisco-made hats and apparel at Tilted Brim.

4. Grab a slice for lunch. Stop at Outta Sight Pizza for a slice before continuing your neighborhood adventure. Their shop on Larkin Street serves pies and slices daily.

5. Head to Niebla Librería, a Mexican-owned bookstore and coffee shop on Turk Street, and spend some time browsing its shelves.

6. Pick up an afternoon snack. Still riding that caffeine kick from the morning? Stop at SF OrganiCA for something refreshing instead. Try the La La Loopsie açaí bowl with almond butter, strawberries, granola, and coconut, or sip on a Honeymoon smoothie made with avocado, banana, honey, and raisins.

7. Take it to the park. Bring your snacks and beverages to Sgt. John Macaulay Park and enjoy some time outdoors before the evening begins.

8. Toast to the Tenderloin. As the sun starts to set, head up to Rise Over Run for a cocktail and sweeping views of the San Francisco skyline from its rooftop garden.

9. Dig into dinner. For Vietnamese favorites, head to Bodega SF for dishes like bánh cuốn, bún chả, and lemongrass pork chop. Or try Cantoo Latin Asian Rotisserie, where Venezuelan and Cantonese flavors come together in dishes like rotisserie chicken with fried rice, pabellón and house-roasted meats.

10. Dive into neighborhood history. The Tenderloin Museum presents The Compton’s Cafeteria Riot, an original, interactive theater piece directly inspired by the historic riot for Transgender rights.

11. Keep the night going. Step into Bourbon & Branch for cocktails in a Prohibition-inspired speakeasy, or head to Zombie Village for an immersive tiki experience.

12. End the night with a late-night bite at Ember Grill. After a night out in the Tenderloin, refuel with a fire-grilled burger, cheesesteak, fresh-cut fries, or a milkshake.
