SAN FRANCISCO--The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) is asking for the public’s help to identify a male who died on Monday, May 12, 2025.

The decedent is a white, possibly Hispanic, male, approximately 30 years old with brown hair and brown eyes.  He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 157 pounds.  He has multiple tattoos including a cross on his right cheekbone.  He was found in a public bathroom in Golden Gate Park, near Martin Luther King, Jr Drive and 19th Avenue.

On Monday, May 12, 2025, the individual was found unresponsive in a public bathroom in Golden Gate Park. Emergency Services were called, and the man was declared dead at the scene.  The cause and manner of death are pending.

The OCME uses extensive investigatory methods to identify decedents, such as valid government issued identification cards on their person, fingerprint check, witness interviews, or DNA testing that lead to a valid identification. In an overwhelming majority of cases, the OCME makes a positive identification of the subject within 24 hours.

In this rare case, the OCME’s investigatory methods have not resulted in an identification. The San Francisco Police Department sketch artist rendered a drawing of the decedent.

Anyone with information about the identity of the decedent should contact the OCME Investigative Division at 415-641-2220 or email OCME.INV@SFGOV.ORG or OCME@SFGOV.ORG. Please reference OCME Case Number 2025-0673.
