The Department of Elections Releases Preliminary Results Report #9 and Update on the Number of Ballots Left to Count for the June 2, 2026, Consolidated Statewide Direct Primary Election

SAN FRANCISCO, Wednesday, June 10, 2026 – Today, the Department of Elections issued the ninth preliminary election results reports of votes cast in the June 2, 2026, Consolidated Statewide Direct Primary Election.

Today’s preliminary results report includes 4,863 vote-by-mail and provisional ballots counted since the previous results report issued on Tuesday, June 9

The Department must still process and count approximately 7,000 ballots. This estimate includes:

Vote-by-mail ballots: 2,000

Provisional ballots (cast at polling places and the City Hall Voting Center): 5,000

The Department will next release preliminary results reports and an estimate of the number of remaining ballots on Thursday, June 11, at 4 p.m., and which will be posted at www.sfelections.gov/results.

When the Department issues results reports, Director John Arntz will be available to respond to questions from members of the public and the media outside of Room 48 in City Hall.
