SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, August 7, 2026 – The San Francisco Department of Elections must extend the candidate nomination period for the Board of Education, Community College Board of Trustees, and BART Board of Directors for District 8 since incumbents did not file nomination documents for these offices for the November 3, 2026, election.
Non-incumbent candidates may obtain and file nomination documents, signatures, and fees with the Department of Elections by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, to appear on the ballot.
