CDPH Health Advisories: Ebola Disease Outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Uganda; and Outbreak of Infant Botulism
Disease Prevention and ControlOn June 17, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) issued a health update about the Ebola outbreak in DRC and Uganda, including recommendations for clinicians and hospitals on identifying and caring for patients who may have Ebola. Please contact SFDPH Communicable Disease 24/7 at 628-217-6100 to report suspected Ebola, or email cdcontrol@sfdph.org for non-urgent questions. To date, no Ebola cases associated with this outbreak have been reported in the U.S., and risk to the general public remains low.
CDPH also issued on June 17 a health advisory about an outbreak of infant botulism linked to Nara Organics Whole Milk Organic Infant Formula. Call SFDPH 24/7 as above to report suspected infant botulism.
