New Fee Rates and 7/22 PermitSF Customer Forum

Dear Customers,
Starting Sunday, some of our fees are being adjusted to more accurately reflect the cost to provide our services. These changes were approved by the Mayor and the Board of Supervisors earlier this summer. DBI is almost entirely funded through fees, and these adjustments are necessary for us to continue to ensure building safety by reviewing plans and permit applications, inspecting construction work, producing real estate records and investigating complaints. The updated fee tables will be posted on our website before the new fees take effect.
PermitSF Customer Forum
On Wednesday, July 22, we are hosting our next PermitSF Customer Forum to share updates and solicit your suggestions on how we can serve you better.
At the online forum, we’ll discuss PermitSF portal updates, the contractor authorization process, all-electric construction requirements, deck, balcony and exterior structure inspection updates and permit timeline and expiration changes.
This forum will be an opportunity for you to provide feedback on our efforts to streamline the permitting process, as well as ideas for how to improve our other services.
