Nabihah Azim

Nabihah’s journey has been a series of roles that are dedicated to social impact. She has extensive experience developing mixed-use, mixed-income, master plan developments with all-new infrastructure in the Bay Area. Nabihah joined Oxford Properties, a global investor, real estate developer, and manager, as an Associate Director of Development as part of the West Coast expansion in the Life Science sector. Oxford Properties develops and invests on behalf of municipal employees from communities across Ontario, Canada. 

She spent the previous 8 years at Mercy Housing as a driving force behind the transformative urban landscapes, ensuring access to affordable housing for communities in need. She orchestrated the intricate development process from inception to fruition, deftly navigating through acquisition, design, financing, construction, and stabilization. Her skills and foresight shine in her leadership of major undertakings. 

Notably, she led the groundbreaking of a mixed-income development on Treasure Island to provide shelter to formerly unhoused families as well as low and middle-income families. 

During her time at Mercy, Nabihah was involved in the HOPE SF transformation project at every level. She contributed to the creation of 167 apartments, which was the first groundbreaking within the footprint of the 50-acre public housing master plan revitalization. The development prioritizes the existing residents and community development. 

She played an instrumental role in inaugurating the Housing Assistance Center at The City of Oakland and also contributed as a graduate researcher for the Terner Center for Housing & Innovation.

As a Bay Area native, her connection to her community fuels her drive for effective transformative change. She received a BA and Masters in City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley. She is also part of the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders Steering Committee and Public Private Partnership National Product Council.
