Melanie Hopson

Melanie Hopson is an experienced nonprofit operations and project management professional with more than three decades of experience working across San Francisco city departments, nonprofits, and community organizations to strengthen systems, coordinate initiatives, and advance goals that benefit children, families, and communities.

Past experiences include leading the San Francisco Peer Resource Program within SFUSD, and supporting various initiatives at the San Francisco Department of Children, Youth and Families. Recent years were spent in social-emotional learning with Soul Shoppe Programs, a nonprofit in Oakland.

Melanie combines strong organizational skills with a grounded, collaborative approach. She currently brings this experience to her work with the San Francisco Child Care Planning & Advisory Council (CPAC), where she supports the Council’s operations, projects, partnerships, and strategic priorities.
