Overview
This is the standard monthly public meeting of the Sheriff’s Department Oversight Board, held in person. Members of the Oversight Board will be present at the meeting. Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe the proceedings and may provide public comment either in person or remotely, including individuals with disabilities who require reasonable accommodations.

The Board welcomes back Traci Watson Akbar, cofounder of Sister’s Circle. Ms. Akbar will provide an overview of the organization’s mission and community impact, followed by a preview of their upcoming initiatives and future events.

Presentation and discussion regarding the draft SDOB annual timeline, goals, and proposed schedule for future educational or informational presentations. This planning document remains flexible and may be updated to reflect evolving Board needs and prioritizing upcoming agenda topics.

General Public Comment
The Board welcomes public comment on matters within its subject-matter jurisdiction that do not appear on today’s agenda. Speakers are requested to address the Board as a collective body rather than directing remarks to individual Board Members, Department staff, or San Francisco Sheriff’s Office personnel.
