This is a special meeting of the Sheriff’s Department Oversight Board. Board members will meet in person, and the public is invited to attend and observe. Public comments can be submitted either in person or remotely. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

Review and discussion of the Civil Grand Jury report findings, recommendations, and member responses. The Board may vote to amend, approve, and finalize its official substantive response.
Independent Oversight and Board Governance (Discussion and Possible Action)
Discussion and possible action regarding proposed Governance Amendments to safeguard the institutional, staffing, and budgetary independence of the Board and the Office of Inspector General.
Announcement and Organization of Presidential Advisory Committees (Discussion)
Discussion of membership, scopes of work, and reporting timelines for newly established Presidential Advisory Committees covering Jail Visits, Public Communications, and Inspector General Hiring.
Board Member Legacy Portraits and Administrative Photography (Discussion)
Organization of full Board and individual photographs for official member statuses and administrative archiving.
General Public Comment
The Board welcomes public comment on matters within its subject-matter jurisdiction that do not appear on today’s agenda. Speakers are requested to address the Board as a collective body rather than directing remarks to individual Board Members, Department staff, or San Francisco Sheriff’s Office personnel.
