This is a special meeting of the Sheriff’s Department Oversight Board. Board members will meet in person, and the public is invited to attend and observe. Public comments can be submitted either in person or remotely. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

Civil Grand Jury Report: San Francisco Jails in Crisis (Discussion and Possible Action)

The Board will discuss the Civil Grand Jury report “When Making Do Doesn’t Work: San Francisco Jails in Crisis” and may vote or take formal action regarding its findings and recommendations.

General Public Comment

The Board welcomes public comment on matters within its subject-matter jurisdiction that do not appear on today’s agenda. Speakers are requested to address the Board as a collective body rather than directing remarks to individual Board Members, Department staff, or San Francisco Sheriff’s Office personnel.
